Now THATS Dust In The Wind

Sup! Here is a LO I did of one of the many recent dust storms that have come through. Also known as haboobs.
Despite the horrible pics I took of it, I think it may be one of my faves. I really like how the symmetry came out. I also liked how I used foam dots to prop up the butterflies.

Most of the papers are Echo Park although I pulled them from a great many stacks, I was mostly going for color.
There ya have it.

Colorful Creations - Twisted Blueprints #10

Sup! Here is the sketch for Colorful Creations Twisted Blueprints Challenge #10.
Here is my take on it:
The "twist" part is the LO must contain: a flag, a mist, and 3 of something. Check!

The journaling says, "Roses are red. Violets are blue. You brew up every morning. And for that we love you."

I tried using some gesso and a mask on this one too but it only came out okay. The papers are also Basic Grey. I SWEAR! I use other papers! I just really like them. They are the bees knees.
There ya have it...

My Creative Sketches - August Sketch

Sup! Here is the August sketch over at My Creative Sketches.
Here is my take on it:
This LO is of my grandma when she was 18. The journaling talks about how I never knew her brothers had called her Tressa, a variation on Teresa, while growing up.
I am particularly proud of this LO because of the work I did on the chipboard bricks I got from Dusty Attic.

I used Tim Holtz Distress ink, embossing powder and stickles in vintage photo. I also spruced up the flowers with Liquid Pearls in Bisque. The title is also done in Liquid Pearls Bisque.

There ya have it.

Scrapfit Workout #74

Here is the sketch over at ScrapFIT.
Here is my take:
I really enjoyed doing this one. I used a mask and some gesso for a cool effect on the right. The papers, the few there were apart from cardstock, were Basic Grey. The journaling talks about my run in with this little critter. I was taking a nap in bed and he woke me up by crawling on me. I thought he was a lizard at first but realized he was a scorpion only after I had swiped him off me twice. I am so lucky I did not get bit. If my husband had not found it and killed it I still would not be sleeping in the bedroom...... CREEPY!!!!!!!
Here's a few close ups.

There ya have it.

Creative Scrappers Sketch #219

Sup! Here is the original sketch over at Creative Scrappers.
Here is my take on it.
I sprayed the background using Dylusions Inks and a TCW template. The letters and the lavender frames I made myself using Sculpey and a Martha Stewart form.
I really struggled with this LO and even now it is not my favorite but I swore I was not going to put it away and not finish it cause if I did I would NEVER pull it out again. There ya go.
